New Menu Item in Spectrum Imager

The Spectrum Imager version 1.1 fixes some bugs and inconveniences of the first release and adds new features:

  • Import and export from and to Hyperspy format and numpy (uncalibrated) format.
  • Option to recalibrate spatial and energy scaling.
  • Option to cut off the unnecessary pixels or energy channels that consist of artifacts disturbing treatment.
  • On-fly PCA correction of unequal quadrant gains in EELS spectrum-images collected with Gatan CCD cameras.
  • Option to play with truncation of PCA components with immediate visualisation of the results.

As previously, Spectrum Imager is free download and equipped with a simple easy-to-use installer. The installation process is transparent and allows for clean uninstalling if required. In case you already have installed the previous version, the package will be automatically updated by running the installer.

    It seems that the buttons ‘endmembers’ and ‘elements’ not working. What
    they are doing?

      Those are sleeping buttons. In the future, we plan recasting datasets into few physically interpretable compounds and extraction of elemental compositions. But this is still not implemented. These buttons are place-holders, not active for the moment.
