Spectrum Imager is split

A New Version of TEMDM Spectrum Imager is coming!

In this new version, we have decided to separate the treatment of spectrum-images and 4DSTEM datasets. A new tool, TEMDM 4Diffractor, is now available for handling the latter. Given the very different nature of the data, we anticipate that these two tools will evolve along distinct development paths.

Additionally, we have some exciting news – while the primary target remains Windows, we have also started compiling our applications for Linux. This is still experimental and may not function perfectly across all Linux distributions.

Apart from that, we have made significant improvements to the user interface. In particular, you can now easily scroll and rescale the spectrum windows. We have implemented three methods for rescaling:

1. Matplotlib navigation,

2. DigitalMicrograph style (scale with the CTRL key pressed),

3. PantaRhei style (scale with the mouse wheel).

No matter which method you’re accustomed to, you will feel right at home using our software!
